What to Order at Pineapple Jack’s in Dunedin, FL.
While Foodie Mob focuses mainly on Tarpon Springs, we occasionally check out nearby spots — and this time we headed over to Pineapple Jacks in Dunedin to see what they had to offer.
Our visit turned out to be a mixed experience, with some dishes hitting the mark while others fell short. From the atmosphere to the food itself, here’s how it all came together.

What We Ordered
My wife ordered the fried fish with fries, something she often goes for when trying a new restaurant. Unfortunately, this dish didn’t quite meet expectations. The fish didn’t taste as fresh as expected, and the batter was too thick, which took away from the overall flavor.

I ordered the steak with a side salad and baked potato, cooked medium-rare. The steak was cooked to perfection and had great flavor. The side salad was fresh and enjoyable with Italian dressing, and the baked potato was solid, served with sour cream and butter.

Friends at the table also ordered a variety of dishes. The Reuben sandwich stood out, loaded with corned beef and described as a hearty and satisfying choice.

Another friend had the fried shrimp, which looked great and was enjoyable, though it had a bit too much batter. Despite that, the flavor still came through.

There was also a chicken sandwich with Swiss cheese, bacon, and mushrooms which was described as very good and enjoyable.

All of the dishes were served with fries, which were consistently very good across the table.

- Reuben sandwich with Fries
- Fried shrimp with Fries
- Chicken sandwich with Swiss and bacon with Fries
Standout Dish
The steak was cooked perfectly, and the Reuben sandwich impressed with its generous portion of corned beef.

The Vibe
The atmosphere at Pineapple Jacks offers a casual dining experience that fits well with Dunedin’s laid-back feel. It’s a comfortable setting for a relaxed meal, whether you’re stopping in for dinner or just looking for an easygoing place to unwind.

Final Thoughts
Pineapple Jacks delivered a mixed experience. While the steak, Reuben sandwich, and chicken sandwich were all well received, the fried seafood dishes were less consistent, particularly due to heavier batter and questions around freshness.
The fries were a highlight across the table, and the overall meal still had several strong points.
With more consistency, especially in the seafood offerings, Pineapple Jack’s has the potential to be a more well-rounded dining option. For now, it’s a place where your experience may depend on what you order.
Would I go back? Yes.
We’ll likely be going back to try other items on the menu, as several dishes we saw at nearby tables looked very appealing and worth exploring.
The Foodie Mob Standard
It’s not just about good food.
It’s about whether the flavors hit, the experience feels right, and if we’d confidently recommend it to someone else.
If it checks all those boxes, it stands out. And in this case, it didn’t fully get there, but it still offers some solid options depending on what you order.
