Salty Soul Island Kitchen Serves Up More Than Just a Great BLT.
Checked out Salty Soul Island Kitchen for dinner, and this was one of the more unique dining experiences I’ve had recently. From the creative menu items to the cozy beach-house atmosphere, this place definitely leaves an impression.
🔥 What We Ordered:
I went with the Sunburst BLT, and this wasn’t your typical BLT.
Served on nicely toasted sourdough bread, it came loaded with bacon, spinach, arugula, and fried green tomatoes. The sandwich was good on its own, but what really made it stand out was the combination of goat cheese and orange honey spread.
The creamy goat cheese paired with the sweetness of the orange honey spread took the sandwich to another level, bringing all the flavors together. It was a unique twist on a classic BLT and, honestly, one of the best BLTs I’ve had.
The sandwich also came with a side of fresh tortilla chips and salsa. The chips were crisp and fresh, and the salsa had great flavor, making it more than just a standard side.
My wife ordered the fried fish sandwich, which is also available blackened. It was served on a bun with lettuce and tomato, with tartar sauce on the side. On her side, she chose a mixed salad with lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, and shredded cheese, topped with pineapple vinaigrette dressing.
She really enjoyed the fish sandwich itself and thought the fish was well prepared. The only negatives for her were the condiments. The tartar sauce tasted a little too much like mayonnaise, and the pineapple vinaigrette was spicier than she expected.
While those weren’t her favorites, they didn’t take away from her enjoyment of the sandwich. On a return visit, she said she would order the salad again but choose a more traditional dressing, such as ranch.

The Vibe:
Salty Soul has a unique atmosphere that immediately stands out. The restaurant features both indoor seating with a bar area and an outdoor dining space.
The bright colors throughout the restaurant create a laid-back beach house feel that fits the name perfectly. It actually looks like the building was originally a house, which gives the restaurant a cozy, welcoming feel, unlike your typical dining spot.

💬 Foodie Mob Take:
Salty Soul Island Kitchen does a great job of combining creative flavors with a relaxed island-style atmosphere. The menu offers some unique twists on familiar favorites, and the welcoming environment makes the experience even better.
