Bacon Wrapped Roasted Pork Tenderloin

Bacon-wrapped roasted pork tenderloin is a mouthwatering dish that combines the succulent, tender texture of pork with the smoky, salty flavor of bacon. This classic recipe has been a favorite among home cooks and professional chefs for generations, and good reason. The dish is not only easy to make but also delivers a satisfying and delicious meal that is sure to impress your guest.

To begin with, select a high-quality pork tenderloin, a lean and tender cut of meat from the pig’s loin. Trim any excess fat or silver skin, and season the pork. Feel free to experiment with other flavors to suit your taste.

Next, it’s time to wrap the pork tenderloin in bacon. Unroll a package of bacon and lay the strips flat, ensuring that each strip is long enough to wrap around the pork. Place the seasoned pork tenderloin in the center of the bacon, and then roll the bacon around the pork, securing it with toothpicks or kitchen twine to keep it in place. This step is crucial, as it infuses the pork with the rich, smoky flavor of bacon and ensures that the tenderloin cooks evenly.

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) and place the bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat. This prevents the bacon from sticking to the pan and makes for easier cleanup. Roast the pork in the oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit (63 degrees Celsius). Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the pork is cooked to perfection.

Once the pork tenderloin is cooked, remove it from the oven and rest for 5-10 minutes. This step is essential, allowing the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful final product. After resting, remove the toothpicks or kitchen twine and slice the pork tenderloin into 1-inch thick medallions.

Serve the bacon-wrapped roasted pork tenderloin hot alongside your favorite side dishes, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad. The crispy, salty bacon perfectly complements the tender, juicy pork, making this dish a true crowd-pleaser. Whether hosting a dinner party or simply looking for a delicious and easy weeknight meal, bacon-wrapped roasted pork tenderloin will surely impress.
