Acropolis Greek Taverna Tarpon Springs Review – A Strong Dining Experience

While Foodie Mob focuses mainly on Tarpon Springs, this time we headed out to check out one of the area’s well-known Greek spots to see how it stacks up.

Our visit turned out to be a very strong experience, with both dishes delivering on flavor and execution.

What We Ordered

I ordered the Acropolis Seafood, which features sautéed shrimp, mussels, scallops, mushrooms, red onions, and bell peppers, served over rice with their signature roasted red pepper sauce and topped with shaved Parmesan cheese.

This dish really came together well. The scallops were cooked perfectly — tender and flavorful — and stood out right away. The combination of seafood and vegetables worked well with the roasted red pepper sauce, giving the dish a rich, balanced flavor.

My wife ordered the Karpathos Chicken, a seasoned grilled chicken breast served over a lettuce mix with red onion, cucumber, Kalamata olives, feta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and dolmades. It was topped with toasted pita strips and served with Acropolis’s homemade Greek dressing.

She also had a Greek side salad, which was fresh and well put together. The ingredients were crisp, and the dressing complemented it nicely, making it a solid addition to the meal.

She went with something different than her usual order, and it paid off. The dish was fresh, well-balanced, and full of flavor. The grilled chicken was cooked nicely, and overall, it was a very enjoyable meal. The Greek Side Salad was great and it was very tasty.
