Foodie Mob Review: The Bistro – Tarpon Springs

Right in the heart of downtown Tarpon Springs, The Bistro offers a more elevated dining experience while still keeping that local charm. It’s a great spot when you want to slow things down and enjoy a well put-together meal.

What We Ordered:

We started with the Meatballs Marinara—four meatballs made with a blend of beef and pork, topped with a tomato-basil sauce and a dollop of creamy, seasoned ricotta cheese.
The sauce absolutely stole the show—rich, flavorful, and easily one of the best I’ve had.

For the entrée, I went with the chicken in a mushroom demi glaze. The lightly floured chicken was topped with a rich glaze made from garlic, chicken broth, butter, and an imported sweet Marsala wine reduction, served with pasta.
The flavor here was outstanding—deep, rich, and easily the highlight of the night.

My wife kept it classic with a ½-lb short rib-brisket blend burger, served with tomato, lettuce, onion, and mayo on the side, along with seasoned fries.
The burger was grilled to perfection—juicy and full of flavor—and the truffle parmesan fries were well-seasoned and a great addition to the plate.

The Vibe:

Relaxed, slightly upscale, and comfortable. Perfect for date night or just getting out of your usual restaurant rotation without going too fancy.
The service matched the atmosphere—friendly, attentive, and professional. Melissa did a great job taking care of us and made the experience even better.

Foodie Mob Take:

The Bistro brings both elevated dishes and solid classics. Whether you’re going for something like the Marsala-style chicken or sticking with a burger, the quality holds up across the board.

Final Thoughts:

Between the standout marinara, that rich Marsala glaze, and strong service, The Bistro delivers a well-rounded dining experience. This is the kind of place that can hit both sides—refined dishes and everyday favorites—and do them well.
This one is really close to earning a Pinellas Pick… might need one more visit.

Foodie Mob Standard:

It’s not just about good food.

It’s about whether the flavors hit, the experience feels right, and if we’d confidently recommend it to someone else.

If it checks those boxes, it stands out.

  1. Love the Bistro. Never disappoints. When they added escargot as an appetizer that put me over the edge big time.
